    <title>The role of Central American Trade in developing El Salvador’s high-value exports</title>
    <link>http://www.redicces.org.sv/jspui/handle/10972/4053</link>
    <description>Title: The role of Central American Trade in developing El Salvador’s high-value exports
Authors: Castro, Eleno
Abstract: This paper describes the development and evolution of El Salvador’s industrial exports. This paper found that El Salvador’s exports to other Central American countries enhance business opportunities observed in an increase in the number of new products exported to this region and this products are more complex compared to the regular exports outside region. However, this paper also finds that the products that are exported first to Central America and then to the rest of the world are not the most sophisticated. El Salvador may benefit from trade diversion that prevents it from exporting high quality products to the world except Central America.

    <description>Title: Determinantes de la migración salvadoreña desde la década de los ochenta a la actualidad
Authors: Bonilla Melara, Ricardo Alfredo
Abstract: La migración es un fenómeno socioeconómico que ha estado presente a lo largo de la&#xD;
historia salvadoreña (Sermeño, 2006). Con el paso del tiempo, los principales motivos que&#xD;
promueven los flujos migratorios del país han estado en constante cambio; primero, con el inicio&#xD;
de la guerra civil (1980), en un país sumergido en pobreza y con alta desigualdad social, se&#xD;
produjo la considerada primera gran ola migratoria de la nación (Gómez, 2013). Posteriormente,&#xD;
con la firma de los acuerdos de paz (1992) y, con el cambio de sistema económico mantenido&#xD;
hasta esa fecha, se dio un aumento transitorio de la economía salvadoreña (Chile, 2012), que más&#xD;
adelante revelaría los problemas sociales que el país venía arrastrando en silencio desde décadas&#xD;
atrás.

Abstract: We will be evaluating a new airport service combining free parking with a car rental service. We need to evaluate the logistics and economics of the idea to ensure that it is a good investment.

    <title>Urgent care center problem</title>
    <link>http://www.redicces.org.sv/jspui/handle/10972/3374</link>
    <description>Title: Urgent care center problem
Authors: Viera Viera, Bryan Alberto; Ferreiro Mazzini, Ana Cristina; Sanchez Blandon, Emilio Francisco; Lopez Graciano, Jonathan Armando
Abstract: Urgent Care Centers of Simio (UCCS) owns a number of urgent care centers across the country that provide patient care on a walk-in basis, typically during regular business hours as well as evenings and weekends. UCCS is generally equipped to treat conditions seen in primary care practices such as infections, flu, minor injuries, and simple fractures. UCCS are staffed by nurses, physicians and physician assistants, and specialists like an orthopedic specialist. &#xD;
&#xD;
UCCS facilities include areas for patient registration, waiting, and triage as well as multiple exam / procedure rooms of various types. Patient demand varies not only by time of day and day of week, but also varies across their different centers. UCCS wants to determine the best general layout, staffing, room allocation, and other operating methodologies. UCCS would also like to evaluate how increasing patient incentives to pre-schedule for exams and other minor sicknesses could potentially reduce the staffing required.&#xD;
&#xD;
Since it is desired to use the same model to optimize centers in many cities, the simulation model must be data driven to easily modify the patient demographics and experiment with the facility and staff configuration and optimization. The proposal must be “sold” to the UCCS board, so 3d animation and clarity of the results is particularly important.&#xD;
